Tustin area man and woman of the year

Congratulations to Lindburgh McPherson and Christine Uribe who were named the 2017 Tustin Area Man and Woman of the Year at the Tustin Ranch Golf Club on June 1, 2018. Lindburgh McPherson has made an indelible mark in Tustin by opening his historic home, the Wilcox Manor, to many charitable organizations for fund-raising events, while Christine Uribe is the unsung hero of several Tustin organizations including the Tustin Community Foundation chairing several annual events that she founded.

Woman of the Year Christine Uribe

Chris is a philanthropist who spends her time supporting the local community by actively participating in several Tustin-area charities and organizations. From being on the board as a founding member to planning and participating in community activities – even hosting charitable events in her own home – Chris continues to enhance her extensive history of community involvement. Her nomination by the Tustin Community Foundation was due in large part to her leadership in a number of organizations focused on various facets of community development and charitable giving.

Man of the Year Lindburgh McPherson

Lindburgh’s extensive portfolio of community involvement activities includes participation on boards, in committees and in fund-raising for several organizations, several related to health and human services. He and his partner restored the historic Wilcox Manor that now often serves as a venue to host fundraisers and other charitable events. His nomination by the Tustin Area Historical Society stems largely from his various endeavors with the historical society and active involvement in numerous other organizations.

Chris and Lindberg were among several local citizens vying for this honor. Congratulations to them both and “Thank you” to the countless others who have given their time and effort into serving the community.
